The launch comes as businesses continue to face growing pressure around fleet electrification, while charging infrastructure availability remains a significant challenge.
According to the BVRLA's latest HGV Outlook report, 83% of operators agree that investment in charging infrastructure is essential for the transition to zero-emission HGVs, with infrastructure availability continuing to be one of the biggest barriers to adoption.
The Allstar Commercial Charging Payment Network combines access to public and semi-private charging infrastructure through a single integrated payment solution. It has been developed to help address the gap between public charging infrastructure that is not always designed for larger commercial vehicles and private depot infrastructure that can be costly and complex to scale.
Designed around the realities of commercial fleet operations, infrastructure partners have been selected for site suitability, including pull-through bays, wide turning spaces and high-power charging capabilities suitable for larger battery systems, including Megawatt Charging Systems (MCS). Sites are located along key logistics corridors, while selected semi-private locations can be pre-booked to help support route planning and operational efficiency.
The proposition combines an open-access public charging network, including partners such as Gridserve Electric Freightway Fleet and InstaVolt, alongside a controlled-access semi-private network for approved fleet users. This semi-private network already includes live sites from First Charge, Fleete and Motus, with Voltempo currently in pilot and further expansion planned through upcoming partners such as Aegis Energy and more.
Tom Rowlands, Managing Director of Global EV Solutions, Corpay including UK brand Allstar, said: "Commercial fleets do not just need access to charging but they need infrastructure that fits around the realities of running a fleet. For many operators, the choice has been between public charging infrastructure that is not designed for larger commercial vehicles, or the significant investment needed to build dedicated depot infrastructure. We are giving fleets another option: scalable charging access designed around operational requirements, without the cost and complexity of building and managing their own charging estate."
All charging activity is accessed and paid for through a single Allstar Chargepass card, removing the need for multiple apps, cards or payment methods. Transactions are consolidated into a single HMRC-compliant invoice, with charging visibility available through Allstar Online.
As businesses continue their electrification journeys, the Allstar Commercial Charging Payment Network is designed to support operators at every stage of adoption, from early electric HGV trials through to larger-scale LCV fleet operations.
