Launched at this year’s Fleet and Mobility Live event, we unveiled the latest development: Near-Home Charging.
Developed for drivers without a home charger or driveway, our partnership with Co Charger unlocks access to a trusted network of neighbourhood chargers, bringing convenient, local charging to more drivers than ever.
Co Charger manages the setup and relationship with nearby neighbours who share their chargers, so drivers can start charging right away. Charging is activated through the driver’s Allstar Chargepass card, and booked and managed within the Co Charger app, the number one community charging app in the UK. Usage and costs are automatically tracked and consolidated in Allstar Online for effortless management and HMRC-compliant invoicing.
Why choose Near-Home Charging?
Encourage EV adoption - Wider charging coverage through Allstar Chargepass card could help drivers who don’t have a charger at home or a driveway.
Charge overnight close to home – reducing downtime and ensuring vehicles are ready for the day ahead.
Save money – fleets typically save on average over 40% compared with public charging*, so you could help improve your business’ bottom line.
Stay compliant – All fuel and electric vehicle (EVs) charging costs are consolidated into a single HMRC-compliant invoice every month.
For businesses, this doesn’t just mean lower costs, it means convenient charging for drivers, and greater confidence that EVs can fit seamlessly into everyday operations.
Tom Rowlands, Managing Director, Global EV Solutions at Corpay, including UK brand Allstar, explained:
“We’ve listened to our customers and evolved Chargepass to reflect what they need most. Near-Home Charging, in partnership with Co Charger, tackles the challenge for drivers without access to a home charger or driveway. Chargepass has become a solution that supports fleets wherever charging happens, near home, on the road, or at home.”
Joel Teague, CEO of Co Charger, added: “Working with Allstar throughout his year has shown how powerful this partnership is. Together we’ve taken the idea of community charging and built it into a solid, practical product for business fleets. Near-Home Charging means drivers without a home charger can run EVs with confidence, while fleets benefit from lower costs and less driver downtime. It’s exciting to see this solution become part of Allstar, as it continues to grow.”
Since its launch in 2023, Allstar Chargepass has brought fuel and EV charging together on a single payment card. Now, two years on, it’s helping more fleets than ever manage the transition to EVs with flexibility, simplified payments and cost savings.
With the addition of Near-Home Charging, we’re ensuring that fleets of all sizes can access smarter, simpler charging solutions and continue driving confidently now and in the future.
