The launch follows Allstar’s new independent research which found that UK mid-market fleet decision-makers spend an average of 4.27 hours each week downloading, checking, reconciling, analysing and reformatting fleet data – that’s equivalent to almost six working weeks a year.
With 74% stating that they don’t have a dedicated full-time fleet manager and many manage fuel, EV charging and driver data across 3 or more systems, portals or spreadsheets, the challenge isn’t a lack of data. The challenge is the time and effort needed to turn the data into useful insights.
Allstar Spark introduces three new capabilities, but the intelligence layer potential goes much further.
Three ways Spark can help:
Ask Spark – Ask questions about fleet data in plain language and get the information you need faster.
Anomaly Monitor – Bring unusual activity and unexpected spend to the surface sooner.
Savings Monitor – Identify potential opportunities to keep fuel and public charging costs under control.
Spark marks an important step in how Allstar is evolving, building on its fleet payment expertise to help customers spend less time searching through data and more time using it to make informed decisions.
Allstar Spark is rolling out to eligible accounts throughout Q4 2026, at no additional charge until the end of the year*.
Will Gill, Chief Product Officer, International Vehicle Payments at Corpay, said: "Fleet managers already have enormous amounts of information available to them. The problem is that too much of their time is still spent finding it, bringing it together and working out what actually deserves their attention. With Allstar Spark, we are starting to change that relationship. Rather than expecting the fleet manager to hunt through another report or dashboard, we want the technology to do more of the analytical work: helping answer questions, surfacing unusual activity and identifying opportunities that could otherwise be difficult to spot.”
He added: "The important point is that the fleet manager remains in control. AI should help people understand what is happening and make better-informed decisions more quickly. It should not remove their judgement from the process. This is just the starting point for Allstar Spark and these first capabilities give us an intelligence layer that we can continue to develop as we learn more about how customers use it and where fleet intelligence can make the biggest difference."
Allstar customer Laura Hastings of Servitech International Ltd, which operates 80-90 vehicles, said: “Managing transport is only one part of my role, so I don’t want to spend time working through multiple screens or scrutinising facts and figures to find something that needs my attention. What I liked about Allstar Spark was how simple and user-friendly it was. Anomaly Monitor makes it much easier to check for anything unusual that I may need to look into or raise with the wider business. For me, that is the real value: helping surface the information that matters without adding more work to my day.”
And there’s more to come…
On the 19th November, Allstar’s Chief Product Officer, Will Gill and Jas Bassi, Senior Director, Product Experience and Strategy will be joining the AFP’s webinar to discuss what we are calling the Fleet Intelligence Gap and how Spark can help fleet managers find answers faster, spot unusual activity sooner and identify potential saving opportunities.
