The unique alliance will provide an alternative near-home EV charging solution for fleets, helping enable their drivers to charge near-home at any time, cutting downtime, improving productivity, and lowering operational costs. This follows a period of home and public charging price drops, but as reported by Allstar’s most recent AllCosts report, home charging is still significantly cheaper than public charging.
This move is further indication of Allstar’s strategy to power the electric evolution with a single payment solution that does it all: fuel, electric charging, home charging and more, supporting fleets at every stage of transition.
Allstar’s fleet customers will be able to access these near-home locations, in addition to providing its customers with the UK’s largest and fastest electric charging payment network for businesses. The network encompasses more than 24,000 locations nationwide, including more than 65,000 chargers, and continues to grow at pace. Ensuring drivers get back on the road as quickly as possible, 85% of its EV charging network is fast, rapid and ultra-rapid.
Tom Rowlands, Corpay’s Managing Director of Global EV Solutions at Corpay, including UK brand, Allstar, said: “Just as fleets are in a mobility transition, we’re on a mission to extend the value of how we make fuel, EV, and business payments simple. By partnering exclusively with Co Charger, we’re able to offer our customers an alternative to charging on the public network or at their homes. In particular, this will benefit those that aren’t able to install their own charger such as those living in apartment buildings or without a driveway, all while reducing costs and downtime for drivers. This is a further example of how we’re innovating with our partners to enhance our comprehensive solution to support businesses to manage costs, saving time and money.”
Joel Teague, CEO of Co Charger, added: “We’re proud to be partnering with Allstar to bring near-home EV charging to fleets across the UK. Public charging isn’t just expensive—it’s disruptive to operations. By enabling drivers to charge overnight, when they’re off duty, we’re helping fleets reduce costs, cut downtime, and accelerate their shift to electric. This is the next chapter in the UK’s EV journey, and we’re excited to be leading it together.”
