The company previously assigned repairs to its own national database of garages. However, using Allstar’s technology and repairer network as an alternative will deliver better customer outcomes, explained Autoguard Group Operations Director, John Wade.
“Historically, we have managed our own repairers, ranging from small independents to main dealer groups. However, all of these businesses have different ways of working with us and ultimately this can lead to delays in repairs and getting the customer back on the road.
“Adopting Allstar ServicePoint provides us with access to a network of independent and franchise repairers who all operate to the same high standards and use the same processes when it comes to getting claims submitted, reviewed and approved. This is a huge advantage."
“For our 150,000 + customers, this will mean improved response times on claim decisions, and faster repairs once the go-ahead is given. For us, it will reduce our administrative load, especially by reducing telephone traffic, as well as providing centralised billing for all the work carried out through the platform.”
Allstar ServicePoint is an online portal designed for businesses to manage car and van maintenance and repair through a national network of garages, with a range of online tools providing high levels of process control. It is based on technology from our sister company, epyx.
John explained that the adoption of Allstar ServicePoint was a key element of the Autoguard Groups ambitious growth strategy for the next few years.
“We feel that today's warranty market is looking for a company that can take service and support to the next level. It is our intention to further our position in the warranty sector not just in the UK but on an international basis by fulfilling this need.
“Using more than 35 years of experience, we are able to provide a bespoke warranty solution for the Autoguard Group dealer partners, which are tailored to their requirements. We also understand that the services we offer must integrate with existing processes and, as a company, we adopt a hands-on and flexible approach to developing our long term partnerships with our dealers.”
Paul Holland, managing director of UK Fuel at FLEETCOR, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Autoguard Group to Allstar ServicePoint. They are clearly an ambitious and capable company who recognise the potential of technology to help them make notable advances in the warranty sector.”
